DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
LINEN ROOM SUPERVISOR
1. Check the workflow in the department or the
linen room.
2. Allocate duties to his subordinates i.e.
Linen Room Attendant, Tailor and Upholsterer.
3. Control linen in the department.
4. Check and ensure the quality of the wash and
iron of the linen.
5. Check and ensure the linen for the stain or
damage.
6. Conduct time to time the scheduled
inventories.
7. Identify and condom the linen that is damaged
or has persistent stain.
8. Issue discard linen for duster or any other
job as instructed by the housekeeper.
9. Coordinate with other section of the
housekeeping such as Laundry, Floors, Pantry, Control Desk, Uniform Room and
Horticulture.
10. Coordinate with other departments of the
hotel such as Food & Beverage Service, Accounts, Food & Beverage Production,
etc.
11. Maintain the records in the department for
the Floor Linen Exchange, Linen Given To Laundry, Linen Lost, Condemned
Linen, Old Quotations, etc.
LINEN ROOM ATTENDANT:
1. Attend morning briefings.
2. Work according to the allocation.
3. Check all the linen received from various
sections of the hotel for the damage and quantity.
4. Issue all the dirty linen received for the
day to the laundry after entering on the challan or laundry record.
5. Check all the linen after it is received from
the laundry for cleanliness and finish.
6. Segregate all washed linen after it is
received from the laundry into separate categories as placed in the linen
room.
7. Arrange all the clean linen received from the
laundry at their respective shelves.
8. Help the Linen Room Supervisor in conducting
the inventories.
9. Identify the stained and condemn linen and
separate them from the circulation for the inspection by the Linen Room
Supervisor and the Executive Housekeeper.
10. Maintain the cleanliness in the linen room.
11. Check the pest control in the linen room.
12. Maintain and help the Linen Room Supervisor
in records of the linen room.
