METHOD
-
Cook rice with
salt till just done and cool soak tamarind in water and extrait the juice.
Roast black and Bengal gram and red chillies separately and grind to a
powder.

Heat oil, add
asafeotida, mustard seeds, pepper corn, turmeric green chillies, ginger and
chopped curry leaves.

When mustard
seeds crackle add tamarind extract, powdered slices and salt.

Cook till all
the water evaporates and mixture thickens.

Mix the
tamarind mixture thoroughly with rice cover and serve hot.
