Arhar Dal

Fenugreek seed

Ginger

5 gm

Asafoetida

2 gm

Turmeric

3 gm

 

 

Jaggery

12-15 gm

 

 

Tamarind

15 gm

 

 

Salt

To taste

 

 

Oil

15 ml

 

 

METHOD

  • Boil the gram in water till well cocked.

  • Mash well.

  • Add sliced green chillies, ginger, turmeric, salt, tamarind juice and jaggery.

  • Boil for ½ hour over on slow fire and then remove.

  • Heat oil in a frying pan, add mustard seeds fenugreek and asafetida.

  • As the seed splutter pour over dal.

  • Mix well.
